On one visit inspectors found cockroaches in the hallway near the dining room and no clean running water for residents. Hot water ran above the safe temperature limit on multiple visits, expired food was found in the kitchen, and fire extinguishers were years past their service date. Earlier, a confirmed complaint found staff had disconnected the home's phone repeatedly over the course of a week, blocking a resident from receiving calls. Several other complaints, including allegations about over-medicating residents and staff refusing to help with personal care, were looked into and not confirmed.
